We are looking for an experienced IT Business Analyst to support various projects in chemistry and microbiology labs across R&D and Manufacturing plants. This role focuses on aligning business needs with IT solutions, ensuring efficient and compliant lab operations.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or a related life science discipline (e.g., chemistry, biology).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with lab teams to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
  • Participate in the design, implementation, and validation of IT systems in labs (e.g., LIMS, ELN, CDS).
  • Drive process improvements and system integrations to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including GxP standards.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Candidate Profile

  • Experience : Proven experience as an IT Business Analyst in lab environments, preferably within R&D or Manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Skills : Strong analytical skills, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
  • Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with lab systems and workflows, with a strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Soft Skills : Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability : Open to external / contractual engagements with flexibility to work onsite or remotely as needed.
  • Specific Knowledge

  • Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and instrument software.
  • Strong understanding of industrial activities in life sciences and GxP procedures.
  • Experience with Jira Software for demand and project management.
  • Agile & Scrum certifications (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English; knowledge of Portuguese or French is a plus.
  • Technical and functional expertise in the relevant business areas.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to challenge, influence, and manage diverse stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborative team player with customer-focused orientation.
  • Analytical mindset, adaptability, and results-driven.
  • Additional Information

  • Project Scope : Supporting multiple projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process optimization.
  • Duration : Full-time dedication for a couple of years, with potential for extension or internalization of the role.
