Overview We are seeking an experienced Asset Workout Manager to be part of the team responsible of dealing with portfolio companies under special situation and / or enforced assets. The successful candidate will bring strong financial acumen, legal awareness, and extensive experience managing distressed assets, enforcement processes, and complex restructuring situations. This role requires a high level of autonomy and close coordination with internal teams and external advisors, eventually across multiple jurisdictions.
Responsibilities Coordinated with the Head of Asset Management, lead post-investment asset management of distressed or underperforming portfolio companies.
Define and execute turnaround and restructuring plans, including operational and financial reorganization.
Monitor company performance, risks, and KPIs, and report progress to internal stakeholders.
Support refinancing, divestment, and exit strategies.
Contribute to internal asset management frameworks and process optimization.
Coordinate interim management efforts and, eventually, take active roles in governance or executive positions.
Oversee and execute enforcement processes, including foreclosures over real estate, share pledges, and other secured assets.
Represent the firm in insolvency proceedings (e.g., creditors’ arrangement proceedings), managing relationships with insolvency administrators and legal advisors.
Qualifications Bachelor ́s degree in Finance, Law, or related fields.
8-10 years of experience in asset management, restructuring, or special situations.
Proven track record working with servicers, bank workout units, or restructuring firms.
Strong financial background, ideally from investment banking, financial advisory, or audit.
Solid legal understanding, particularly in insolvency, restructuring, and asset enforcement mechanisms.
Demonstrated experience managing execution processes over secured assets (e.g., mortgages, share pledges).
Full working proficiency in Spanish and English.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage complex situations independently and deliver results under pressure.
Prior experience in real estate, renewable energy, or industrial sectors will be considered a strong plus.
