As a procurement specialist you will be responsible for finding goods and services for InPost Iberia at the best value regarding quality and price. Your duty will be meeting budget constraints to increase profitability and support growth.
Responsibilities
- Implementing purchasing strategies. Sourcing for global sourcing strategies, leveraging industry best practices, commodity experience, sourcing methodology and global partnerships
- Ensuring that all purchases adhere to Procurement Policy.
- Managing supplier relationships; tracking supplier performance, supply / availability, pricing, and quality
- Auditing ongoing purchases to identify potential savings and contribute to EBITDA objectives (starting with largest purchases)
- Benchmarking current suppliers with better market alternatives, grouping suppliers or providing creative solutions, testing new purchases and making them a reality
- Collaborating with internal departments to fulfill customer requests
- Maintaining strong internal stakeholder relationships through follow up and communication regarding material arrival issues
- Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts to benefit the company
- Conducting market research to stay abreast of emerging trends and opportunities
- Proactively resolving issues (e.g., material shortages, quality issues) with vendors and internal customers
- Negotiating contracts with key suppliers, providing supplier evaluations, and proposing alternative solutions
- Creating and tracking all purchase orders and contracts
- Anticipating and planning for inventory needs and ensuring timely arrivals
- Seeking to reduce dependency on single-source suppliers through contracts and strategic partnerships
- Reviewing, developing and implementing purchasing activities to ensure items are cost-efficient and high quality
Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in a similar positionBachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field may be requiredPrevious experience in a similar roleExcellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skillsStrong organizational, planning, networking, and time management abilitiesAbility to identify market trends and make informed decisionsAbility to follow client specificationsSolid knowledge of purchasing, supplier selection, cost analysis and negotiationAgile mindset able to adapt to shifting business needs in a fast-growing environmentAbility to manage and report on multiple projects concurrentlyCustomer-centric attitude with drive to deliver resultsClear and concise communication for escalations, requirements, and issues to suppliers, peers, management, and customersEntrepreneurial mindset, curiosity, and passion for learning and growthStrong integrity and collaboration skillsFluent English; French is a plusWhat we offer
