At Champion Petfoods, we strive every day to create a better world for pets.

We’re looking for a National Account Manager to join our team, based in Madrid or Barcelona (with some flexibility). This role is critical to driving growth and profitability across our key accounts, helping us expand our presence in the pet specialty retail channel.

You’ll be responsible for developing strategic partnerships with large customers and retail chains, ensuring the successful execution of our commercial strategy and unlocking new opportunities for sustainable growth.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Key Account Management, ideally within the pet food or FMCG sectors, with a proven ability to drive strategic growth and manage complex customer relationships.
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost analysis and using data to inform business decisions.
  • Confident communicator and presenter , capable of influencing stakeholders and building trust across all levels of the organisation.
  • Fluent in Spanish , with a strong command of English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office to support planning, reporting and presentations.
  • Entrepreneurial and self-driven , with a passion for pets and a mindset focused on ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% , staying close to key customers and market opportunities.

What will your main responsibilities be?

  • Drive strategic growth : Develop and implement annual operating plans for key accounts, aligned with our market strategy
  • Build strong partnerships : Negotiate yearly agreements and foster long-term relationships with key customers
  • Deliver insights : Analyse account performance and market trends to inform strategy and identify opportunities
  • Execute with excellence : Plan and coordinate promotional activities, training programs, and in-store activations
  • Collaborate cross-functionally : Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment on forecasting, supply, and execution
  • Manage budgets : Ensure financial targets are met while maximizing profitability
