At InSoil, we are working towards a future where carbon credits become a standard in the market. As Head of Carbon Markets, you will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of our carbon credit commercialization efforts.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with extensive background in voluntary carbon markets and sales acumen. This individual should have a proven track record of maximizing revenue, managing buyer relationships, and driving growth in climate-focused financial products.
Key Responsibilities :
Commercialization Strategy : Develop and implement plans for selling soil carbon credits to maximize value and build strategic relationships with aligned buyers.
Buyer Relations : Identify, engage, and manage relationships with potential buyers and intermediaries.
Market Intelligence : Lead negotiations and maintain an up-to-date database of buyer insights and feedback.
Project Collaboration : Support carbon project development and insetting initiatives; participate in internal project teams.
Marketing & Outreach : Collaborate with marketing and content teams to execute inbound campaigns targeting sustainability-focused audiences.
Sales Structuring : Design and secure long-term purchase agreements.
Representation : Act as a company ambassador at Voluntary Carbon Market conferences and meetings requiring industry expertise.
Strategic Advisory : Provide the leadership team with insights and support in meetings and key discussions.
Requirements :
Proven expertise and relationships in voluntary carbon markets, including carbon credit commercialization.
Strong knowledge of carbon protocols and climate guidelines like SBTi, ICVCM, VCMI, Corsia, and IETA.
Experience negotiating with corporate buyers, intermediaries, and sustainability stakeholders.
Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and high ethical standards.
Ability to work independently and represent the company's best interests at all times.
