Project Manager (Construction, Renewable Energy)

Location :

Castilla-La Mancha, Spain (frequent site visits required)

Overview

An established Independent Power Producer is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction phase of large-scale renewable energy projects across Europe. This role will be pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest standards, working closely with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from company perspective, ensuring full alignment with objectives and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee all aspects of the construction phase, from contractor management to final handover.
  • Coordinate multiple interfaces including EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, owner’s engineers, legal teams, development teams, local authorities and financial institutions.
  • Monitor and maintain project schedules, budgets and cash flow, identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Analyse project milestones, assess risks and develop mitigation strategies with proactive solutions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction project management.
  • Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel essential).
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
  • Based in Spain, with the ability to commute weekly to Castilla-La Mancha.
  • Prior experience in renewable energy construction projects highly desirable.
  • Experience working in an Owner / Developer position advantageous.
