Overview Unix / Linux Systems Engineer – Location : Madrid (Hybrid client site near Plaza Castilla). Priority : Critical. Language Requirement : Spanish Professional Proficiency.

Job Description : We are urgently seeking an experienced Unix / Linux Systems Engineer with 7–10 years of hands-on experience in complex technical environments. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, capable of engaging with both client stakeholders and internal technical teams. This role requires advanced expertise in system design, deployment, hardening, and automation, with a clear vision for operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage complex Linux-based infrastructure solutions.

Perform advanced system administration, including hardening, security patching, and performance monitoring.

Implement and manage Linux environments (RedHat and Ubuntu) with a focus on automation using Ansible.

Deploy and maintain Linux management consoles (e.g., Red Hat Satellite).

Administer email relays using Postfix.

Manage LDAP systems and HA Proxy-based load balancing.

Coordinate with cybersecurity teams to ensure asset protection and compliance.

Contribute to the automation of operational processes.

Support infrastructure hosted in IaaS environments on Azure or AWS (basic knowledge desirable).

Required Skills & Technologies Linux systems engineering (RedHat, Ubuntu)

Ansible automation

System hardening and security patching

Postfix (mail relay administration)

LDAP and HA Proxy

Linux performance monitoring and troubleshooting

Red Hat Satellite or similar management consoles

Strong communication and client interaction skills

Desirable Skills Basic understanding of cloud environments (Azure, AWS)

Experience in the Utilities sector

Experience 7 to 10 years in technical Linux / Unix engineering roles
