We are seeking a Director of Strategic Business Operations to partner closely with our CEO and executive team in driving organizational effectiveness, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives. This role will oversee NSI’s IT team, lead the implementation of critical tools and systems, and ensure cross-functional alignment on high-impact projects—including those involving AI and digital transformation.
Responsibilities Act as a strategic partner to the CEO, ensuring organizational priorities and initiatives are executed effectively.
Lead the IT function, managing team performance and overseeing new technology / tool roadmap.
Responsible for ERP / finance platforms (SAP Business One or equivalent), ensuring seamless integration across finance, operations, and supply chain.
Drive company-wide process optimization and operational excellence.
Manage strategic projects, including AI pilots, digital tools, and process automation.
Translate leadership vision into actionable roadmaps and track progress against key milestones.
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on strategic goals and resource allocation.
Support change management, communication, and adoption of new systems and ways of working.
Anticipate organizational challenges and proactively develop solutions.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have Demonstrated experience in project management, organizational design, or strategic operations.
Process-orientation : Loves building and improving systems, workflows, and playbooks.
Strong ability to drive complex, multi-team initiatives to the finish line.
Rigorous systems skills including MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), G Suite and ERP systems (SAP Business One is a plus).
Experience with AI-related projects (e.g., AI tools, AI database, automation, or digital transformation).
Robust leadership and communication skills; ability to influence at all levels.
Analytical, structured thinker with a bias toward execution.
Education And Experience 3+ years at a top consulting firm, as well as 3+ years experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth company with exposure to scaling operations and processes.
Master’s degree (MBA, MS Finance, MS Industrial & Systems Engineering, or equivalent) required.
Fluency in English (oral and written), Spanish a plus.
Work Environment Remote work available but candidates must be living in close proximity to NSI’s office in Barcelona for in-office or in-person meetings.
10-15% of the position would consist of visiting the NSI offices in the US for in-person meetings or specific projects.
Candidates must be flexible in regards to their schedule to accommodate working with an international team.
