About the job : OW, a controlled 50 / 50 joint venture between EDP and Engie, is looking for a proactive and analytical Operational Support Systems Engineer. Are you willing to join a passionate and high performing team, in a cross-cultural, fast-paced, and strongly growing environment?
Main accountabilities
- Lead the specification, design, implementation and integration of operational support systems, including CCTV and VOIP systems; marine communication systems (UHF, TETRA, Private DMR); AIS systems for vessel tracking; Aid to Navigation systems; field general-purpose connectivity systems (WIFI, LTE / 4G / 5G); metocean measurement sensors and weather forecast services; wind resource measurement sensors; motion measurement systems for floating substructures
- Identify project stakeholders and ensure that the operational support systems comply with third-party requirements
- Support the commissioning of operational support systems to ensure correct operation and integration into the company’s fleet-wide platform and tools
- Collaborate with the Operational Infrastructure and Performance team in developing and maintaining company standards for the integration of new assets, streamlining their development
- Identify and recommend innovative systems to improve the delivery of operational support systems for the company’s assets
Qualifications
A degree in a relevant engineering discipline (i.e., Computer networks, Industrial Automation, Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering) is requiredA minimum of 3 years of experience working with similar systems, with a focus on industrial, offshore wind, or marine environmentsProficiency in designing, deploying, and integrating operational support systems as listed aboveStrong understanding of network infrastructure, industrial hardware, operational technology requirements, and cloud computingFamiliarity with weather and wind resource measurement technologiesKnowledge of SCADA and Asset Integrity Monitoring systemsExperience with the full project lifecycle, from early requirements definition to commissioning and project handoverDesirable knowledge : HV transmission concepts (e.g., substations, export cables); wind turbine and wind farm topologies; service contract structures in the energy industry; relevant industry standards and regulations; ability to support negotiations during issues, modifications, and upgrades; experience with risk analysis and techno-economic modellingLanguages
