The Role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager. You will be our first Sales hire, working side by side with the CEO and Growth team. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who wants to help define how we scale merchant acquisition across Europe and US. You will :

  • Own the full sales cycle — from outbound prospecting to closing — with ecommerce merchants across Europe.
  • Play a key role in driving our growth strategy, bringing structured, proactive momentum to our merchant pipeline and working closely with the CEO and wider team.
  • Identify, engage, and convert high-potential merchants, tailoring the pitch to their checkout and trade-in needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Tech teams to ensure a smooth handover from signed deal to integration.
  • Build and maintain a clean, reliable CRM pipeline (we use HubSpot) to drive transparency and reporting.
  • Provide feedback loops to improve our GTM strategy, onboarding flow, and merchant experience.
  • Help shape the foundation of the sales playbook, including templates, processes, and objection-handling.
  • Be the face of Ealyx in early partnerships — your work will set the tone for how we're perceived in the market.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven ability to run a full sales cycle : from prospecting and discovery to negotiation and closing.
  • Experience selling to ecommerce merchants or working in checkout, payments or eCommerce platforms is a strong plus.
  • Strong commercial intuition — you know how to ask the right questions, uncover needs, and position value clearly.
  • Unafraid of cold outreach — you enjoy starting conversations from scratch, influencing decision-makers, and turning curiosity into committed interest.
  • A structured, analytical approach to managing pipeline, forecasting, and learning from every sales interaction.
  • A self-starter mindset with a bias for action and a genuine interest in checkout innovation, circular economy, or embedded finance.
  • Team player who’s motivated by both personal performance and company success — you want to build, not just execute.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish (other European languages are a plus).
