The position is for a Data Analyst / Statistician to support the core team in implementing a project that aims to provide evidence-based recommendations for better fiscal management, efficient use of public expenditures, and improved service delivery in Greenland's education sector.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct in-depth analysis of budget execution, fiscal policies, and financial oversight mechanisms to identify trends in public spending and financial performance.
- Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced statistical techniques to contribute to integrated analytical outputs.
- Develop compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with finance, education, and policy experts to ensure high-quality analytical reports, briefs, and data summaries for stakeholders and decision-makers.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.Proficiency in English (C1); knowledge of Danish or Greenlandic is an asset.Experience :
Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience with demonstrated expertise in data analysis, preferably in public finance, economics, or development sectors.Advanced proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools such as R, Python, STATA, SPSS, Tableau, and Power BI.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience working with government, development agencies, or international institutions.Familiarity with open data standards, GIS, or machine learning tools is a plus.
