Job Description

Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Global Head of Information Governance in our Global Business Information and Advanced Analytics Department.

The Global Head of Information Governance is responsible for developing and leading the enterprise-wide strategy, frameworks, and operational policies that govern the management of all information during its lifecycle across Sompo International. This role ensures that all business-critical information-regardless of format or location-is properly managed, protected, and aligned with legal, regulatory, and operational requirements. The role is pivotal in ensuring the organization meets compliance and risk obligations, while also enabling efficient information use and supporting digital transformation initiatives.

What you will be doing :

Strategic Leadership

• Define and implement the global information governance strategy aligned with corporate risk management, compliance, and digital business needs.
• Act as the enterprise authority on information governance matters and advise senior leadership, including the board, on emerging information risks and opportunities.
• Develop a global network of information governance officers and data owners across all functions and jurisdictions.
