We’re looking for a versatile and experienced Sous Chef Tournant to join the culinary brigade of a world-class luxury cruise ship. - Contract : 5 months onboard / 2 months off
- Schedule : 10 hours per day, 7 days a week

- Salary : USD $3,900 per month (tax-free, paid only while onboard)

About the Role
As Sous Chef Tournant , you will rotate through different sections of the galley, ensuring consistent quality and smooth operations across hot, cold, and specialty areas. Your adaptability, classical culinary skills, and team leadership will play a key role in maintaining the high standards expected in luxury hospitality. You’ll work alongside an international team in a professional, structured, and inspiring kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and support various sections of the galley (saucier, entremetier, fish, meat, garde manger, etc.) as neededSupervise, train, and motivate junior chefs in each assigned areaMaintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation at all timesEnsure mise-en-place is efficient and timely for each section you manageSupport the Executive and Senior Sous Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring smooth serviceCollaborate closely with colleagues to deliver refined cuisine for main dining and specialty restaurantsWhat We’re Looking For
Experience :3+ years in fine dining, luxury hotels, or cruise ships as a Sous Chef or experienced Chef de PartieStrong foundation in classical European techniques (French cuisine preferred)Proven ability to manage multiple sections under pressureSkills & Attributes :Adaptable, proactive, and organizedExcellent communication and team leadershipStrong attention to detail in food prep and hygieneCertifications :Valid STCW certificatesC1 / D visa, Seaman’s Book, Seafarer’s Medical (or willing to obtain)Fluent in English, both written and spokenWhy Join Us?
