Responsibilities :

Standards Compliance :

  • Inspect equipment and materials in accordance with relevant standards.
  • This includes reviewing drawings, specifications, procedures, work instructions, quality control plans and regulations.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards – API (various), ISO 9001 : 2015, DS-1, and NS-2 (Optional – Training will be provided)

NDT Expertise :

  • Perform and monitor NDT inspections, interpret results, and evaluate findings.
  • This may involve various techniques like Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT), and Visual Inspection (VT).

    • Inspection and Documentation :

  • Carry out thorough inspections of drill stem equipment, pressure piping, vessels, storage tanks, and other related equipment.
  • Maintain detailed records, prepare inspection reports, and analyse data.

    • Quality Assurance :

  • Identify non-conformances, initiate corrective actions, preventive actions and track their implementation and closure.

    • Collaboration :

  • Work with machine shop, inspection teams, clients, and third-party inspectors / auditors.

    • Safety :

  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols during inspections activities and surrounding activities.

    • Continuous Improvement :

  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions.

    • Documentation :

  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including inspection reports, quality control plans, and records.

    • Interpretation of Drawings :

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

    • Calibration and Equipment :

  • Maintain inspection equipment, ensuring its accuracy, and ensure used equipment is within calibration dates.

    • Experience :

  • 2-3 Years experience in a Quality environment
  • 2-3 Years experience in a machining workshop environment

    • Skills :

    Use of measuring equipment (basics) :

  • Vernier Calipers
  • Depth Verniers
  • Depth Clocks (Pit Gauges)
  • Micrometers (External & Internal)
  • Tape Measures
  • Spring Calipers (External & Internal)

    • Additional measuring equipment :

  • Ring & Plug Gauges
  • Taper Gauges (External and Internal)
  • Thread Profile Gauges
  • Lead Gauges
  • Pressure Equipment

    • General

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel
  • Excellent level of English, both written and oral
  • Excellent written communicator (e.g. Emails - Microsoft Outlook)
  • Work well under pressure

    • Qualifications :

  • High school certificate.
  • Trade Tested
  • NDE Qualifications
  • Internal Audit of Quality Management Systems
