We are looking for a person to join any of our offices (Donostia - San Sebastián or Bilbao ), with knowledge in the field of open source solutions for fifth generation (5G) mobile communications. Vicomtech is an applied research technology centre, dynamic, innovative and leading in the field of 5G and 6G communications with projects such as 6GDifferent, 6G-XR or 5GMETA.

The selected person will join a team of more than 20 people with multidisciplinary knowledge within the Digital Media & Communications department. Research staff at Vicomtech have the freedom to conduct research, looking for creative solutions to scientific-technological challenges, so we are looking for a person with a proactive attitude. We value candidates :

• Education : Engineering or Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications. A Master's degree or a PhD in the field of telecommunications or computer science will be an advantage.
• Experience in software development, Linux operating system and code development tools (GIT). Knowledge of C++ and Python programming languages would be an asset, but not limited to these.
• Knowledge in the field of 5G technologies and networks, familiar with open source software solutions such as OpenAirInterface and Open5Gs. Knowledge of commercial solutions (Amarisoft, etc.) and APIs for network monitoring and management (NWDAF, NEF, etc.) will also be an asset.
• Languages : Spanish and English.
