SEEKING : Cloud Architect

We are looking for a professional with proven experience in the role of Cloud Architect for an important technology company.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Minimum Requirements :

  • Experience deploying and operating infrastructure on AWS : ECS with EC2 / Fargate, EC2, Load Balancers, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambdas, Step Functions, Event Bridge, DMS, Kinesis, Config Rules, SSM Automation.
  • Infrastructure as code, mainly with CloudFormation and now also with Terraform.
  • Automation with Python using boto3 library.
  • Ansible.
  • Microservices architecture using containers on ECS mainly.
  • Must have the ability to deploy the infrastructure and handle incidents on it.

Desired Requirements :

  • Strong background in system automation and Linux administration.
  • Experience of three-layer architectures : web (Apache), engine (Tomcat / Spring), and database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, ORACLE, and NoSQL databases).
  • Experience in source code tools, continuous integration tools, and team management tools.

    • Responsibilities & Tasks :

  • Creating cloud-based infrastructure required by the software team in AWS.
  • Creating and maintaining scripts to activate and deactivate instances on demand.
  • Maintaining security compliance like passwords, key rotation policies.
  • Providing direct support during various operations such as deployment and general production.
  • Collaborating with developers to ensure that new environments meet requirements and conform to best practices.
  • Defining several types of alerts (OpsGenie alerts) that monitor system’s health and report any issues if they occur. When they do, the DevOps team takes ownership of the issues and resolves them themselves or escalates them to the proper team.
  • Cost savings / cost optimization is a huge part of their activities.
  • Working with the DEV / STE team to deploy new software releases in the cloud.
