The Product Specialist proactively provides customised application solutions to our customers, creating tomorrow’s value with Ommatidia LiDAR's products and enabling our partners’ technology roadmaps. He / she has the role of enhancing customer satisfaction and influencing new product development in the field of Optical 3D Metrology and Imaging. Indeed, this team member will work with customers and the technical team to offer novel and improved solutions for cutting-edge challenges, acting as the internal customer voice in all steps of the product development cycle.

Responsibilities

Marketing Tasks

  • Visit international customers to optimally fit systems into their processes, providing technical support;
  • Represent the voice of the customer by communicating their needs and requirements;

R&D Tasks

  • Cross functional work through close collaborations with development and engineering teams;
  • Run performance improvement projects with customers and feed results into new product developments;
  • Optimize product field performance, finding innovative technical alternatives beyond established practice.
  • Expand organizational knowledge through proper documentation;
  • Determine solutions to customer-related metrology / 3D imaging needs based on existing products;
  • Provide training to customers;

    • Quality Activities

  • Produce quality records and documentation for QC, customer support, regulatory approvals.

    • Qualifications

    Education and experience

  • A Master’s Degree or PhD in a technical field. For example : Mechanics, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or a similar technical degree.
  • 2-5 years of experience in metrology, 3D scanning or BIM services.
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal and written);

    • Required Skills

  • Strong computer and programming skills (Python);
  • Drive and determination to bring projects to successful conclusions;
  • Cultural awareness demonstrated through communication skills;
  • Strong customer focus;
  • Ability to explain complex technical subjects to different stakeholders;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Adaptable to work in a fast-paced work environment;
  • Self-motivated, organized and diligent.
