At Wooptix, we are seeking a proactive IT Technician with solid knowledge of hardware, software, and networks, capable of adapting to dynamic environments and providing efficient solutions. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical support to users, maintaining and ensuring the proper functioning of IT equipment, and participating in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of networks and systems.

Role and Responsibilities

Security

  • Design and implement Active Directory-based access policies, least privilege management (PoLP), and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  • Deploy and integrate 802.1X authentication to protect wired and wireless networks
  • Apply and maintain domain policies (GPOs) for secure and standardized user and device configuration
  • Implement endpoint protection solutions (EDR / AV) and external device control (USB, mobile, etc.)

Networks

  • Corporate network management : switches, routers, access points, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Design, configure, and maintain VLANs for network segmentation and access control by area or department
  • Configure and maintain secure VPNs for remote access to internal resources
  • Monitor network usage, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization measures
  • Systems and Backup

  • Manage Windows Server and Linux operating systems (Ubuntu / CentOS / Red Hat)
  • Design and maintain local and cloud backup strategies (on-premises / NAS / cloud)
  • Verify backup integrity and recoverability through regular testing
  • Monitor storage and access to shared resources
  • Infrastructure

  • Support for users and technical teams
  • Writing and maintaining technical documentation (topology, procedures, configurations)
  • Qualifications and Skills

  • CFGS Administration of Networked Computer Systems or similar
  • 2 years of experience in similar position
  • High skills in Microsoft Office package
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills
  • Interpersonal, organizational, communication and leadership skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (Reading, writing, and speaking)
