Data Manager (m / f / d) Engineering Data

For 140 years, we have been an innovative mechanical engineering company for renowned customers all over the world. Our focus today is on the development, production and sale of medium and high-pressure compressors for numerous applications in the Industry, Commercial Shipping, Defense and Offshore segments.

In the course of support and further development, we are looking for you as a process-oriented and motivated Data Manager (m / f / d) for the optimization and quality improvement within engineering and at the interfaces of the downstream partners.

Job description

In cross-departmental collaboration with the Products, Project Design, E-Design, Technical Documentation, R&D Compressor Development teams and those of the neighboring Operations and Service departments, you will proactively shape and support the flow of R&D and engineering data between the engineering systems and the ERP system as Data Manager. You will assume responsibility for the smooth flow of technical master data within R&D, Engineering and other company departments.

Your tasks

  • Proactive optimization of data flows within the engineering systems (PLM, CMS, configurator) and interfaces in business processes
  • Ensuring data exchange between the CAD, PLM and ERP systems
  • Taking over the key user function for the ERP system in the engineering and R&D area
  • Creation of training documents and training of employees on the subject of technical data flows
  • Supporting the teams with process questions & optimization requests in dealing with technical PLM and ERP data

Your profile

  • Completed engineering degree in mechanical engineering (or comparable course of study)
  • Good process knowledge in engineering and data management
  • Relevant experience in the area of data flows in ERP systems, ideally Infor LN
  • High IT and process affinity
  • Independent, structured and autonomous working style
  • High customer orientation (focus on high usability and system support)
  • Strong solution-oriented thinking and action
  • Willingness to undergo further training and development
  • Team and communication skills
  • Confident written and spoken English skills
  • Efficient task and time management
  • Good knowledge of standard software
  • High level of commitment and flexibility
