The program manager can be considered a “super” project manager at Devo. The role entails planning and governance as well as overseeing the successful delivery of the program’s outcome.
Although some technical background or knowledge of the business is important, there is more emphasis on program management skills. The program manager must have practical experience of having been a project manager for medium to large and complex initiatives.
Responsibilities :
- Daily program management throughout the program life cycle;
- Defining the program governance (controls);
- Planning the overall program and monitoring the progress;
- Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements;
- Coordinating the projects and their interdependencies;
- Managing and utilizing resources across projects;
- Managing stakeholders’ communication;
- Aligning the deliverables (outputs) to the program’s “outcome” in collaboration with the extended leadership team.
- Managing program documentation.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence. Jira administration experience is a bonus.
Requirements :
Strong practical experience in project management, gained through managing large and complex projects;Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques;Good understanding of the wider objectives of a program;Ability to work positively with a wide range of individuals involved in program management;Highly organized with strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and management skills;The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems;Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite;Configuration management skills and knowledge is a plus but not required.Why work at Devo?
