The Role
The Infrastructure team is currently recruiting for a Desktop Security Specialist who will report to our Global Desktop Client Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ongoing Desktop Security posture and future planning needs of the company’s desktop environment.
- Coordinate with the Information Security team and wider IT teams for security requirements.
- Plan and ensure Windows / Office 365 and other Desktop applications are up to date.
- Coordinate with the wider Desktop team for continuous software update rollouts.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities in our Desktop / Mac environment.
- Ensure new hardware builds and end user devices meet compliance standards.
- Maintain excellent working knowledge of Active Directory.
- Manage areas of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager / Intune.
- Support Windows / Mac Environments as needed.
Requirements
3+ years of hands-on desktop support experience in a busy IT environment.Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager is necessary, including planned Windows / Office 365 and software rollouts.Experience with Intune is advantageous but not required.Experience in remote and on-site PC fault diagnosis and troubleshooting.Strong troubleshooting skills with PC hardware.Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows 10 / 11, Microsoft 365, Citrix, Printing, Symantec Antivirus, VPN, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, and Intune.Excellent communication and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.Scripting skills in PowerShell.Benefits include discounted and unlimited travel to over 250 destinations, a hybrid working model (up to 3 days from home), a defined contribution pension scheme (matched up to 5% or €5,000), death in service benefit (up to 2 times annual basic salary), 20 days annual leave (increasing to 22 days after 12 months and 25 days after 3 years), and up to 5 additional unpaid leave days per year.
