About the Position :

The position is a senior member of the team responsible for identifying opportunities, developing positions, managing risk, and ensuring effective coordination of all parties involved in the execution of financial trades. This involves analyzing gas market fundamentals, maintaining an effective network of industry contacts, and conducting analyses to generate viable leads.

The Role Requires :

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of global gas and LNG markets, including operational, technical, and financial aspects and risk mitigation tools.
  • A strong financial background with appreciation of macro-economic fundamentals of global gas markets, intelligence on producer and user activities, financing of gas trading, and structuring LNG sales / purchase contracts.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify business opportunities and develop strategies to monetize optionality in the portfolio.
  • Manage and execute trades in financial markets to maintain portfolio equilibrium, limit risk, and manage liquidity.
  • Negotiate enabling agreements with financial institutions, exchanges, derivatives brokers, and support the finance function in obtaining adequate credit terms for trading.
  • Provide mentoring and leadership to junior traders to maintain quality standards and support their professional development.

    • Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative subject (e.g., Economics, Business, Engineering).
  • 5-10 years of working experience in LNG or commodities financial trading.
  • Excellent understanding of LNG market concepts, physical and derivative trading, and complex economic and financial modeling.
  • Proven decision-making ability based on creative thinking and effective analysis of data and situations.
