Key Accountabilities
- Ensure safe workplaces and processes by integrating current regulations into working areas and business operations, providing support to the HS Manager.
- Implement programs to promote behavioral culture change, Health & Safety and Wellbeing strategies, and corporate guidelines.
- Implement and maintain an HS management system such as ISO 45001. Promote worker health following Werfen's policies, including planning and conducting internal and legal audits.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety issues to all stakeholders, especially those related to your specific area of responsibility.
- Review and implement Werfen's HS policies to ensure compliance with local and Portuguese legislative requirements. Provide relevant training and information to all employees based on their risk exposure.
- Measure key issues contributing to achieving desired results. Manage performance using leading and lagging indicators in health, safety, and wellbeing areas.
- Implement risk prevention measures and specific training plans, ensuring their completion.
- Investigate injuries and illnesses, evaluate preventive measures, and incident procedures. Monitor and report on absenteeism and workplace accidents, propose improvements, and track their implementation.
- Prepare proposals and conduct cost analyses for corrective actions based on incident investigations in the health and safety domain.
Networking / Key Relationships
This role requires collaboration with all organizational stakeholders, including external prevention services (SPA) and mutual insurance providers, to establish, maintain, and improve occupational health and safety compliance across the organization.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience
University Degree or Bachelor's in Prevention and Integral Safety and Security or higher in Occupational Risk Prevention.Additional Knowledge :
ISO 45001Occupational Risk Prevention Audits and System CourseMicrosoft Office 365, Copilot, and GSST software (Sabentis)Management of CAE documentation across different market platformsLanguages : Spanish, Catalan, and English required; Portuguese is a plus.
Experience :
Extensive experience in health and safety, especially valuable within hospital or SPA sectors as a Technician in Labour Risk Prevention.
