To assess and identify potential risks that may hinder the reputation, safety, and financial prosperity of TJX Europe. Responsible for implementing & influencing the delivery of the corporate Health and Safety business goals, providing support and direction to key business partners to effectively influence, control & mitigate identified risks and reduce exposures to TJX Europe.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage implementation of the Corporate Health & Safety business plan.
- Influence the implementation of the Company Health & Safety Policy and regularly review arrangements, procedures, and safe systems of work.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to and in place.
- Collate & analyze the period & YTD data to provide recommendations for District & Country Managers to improve corporate compliance.
- Positively influence managers & associates to ensure compliance with risk policies and adopt best practices at all times.
- Maintain understanding of current & new legislation in the country, communicate potential exposures, and provide sound business solutions and policy change recommendations to the Health and Safety Manager.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies, National Institute for Safety and Hygiene at Work, Labour and Social Security Inspectorate, and Fire Services as required.
- Investigate serious incidents and provide recommendations for improvement and better regulatory compliance.
- Coach all relevant stakeholders, providing direction, guidance & support on policy and effective arrangement management.
- Participate and facilitate in external / internal audit programs for external and corporate benchmarking. Influence change and recommendations based on feedback.
- Design and deliver technical curriculum training in collaboration with the process improvement team to ensure program management.
- Work with office facilities and G, S & P team to ensure legal compliance throughout all TJX offices.
- Build effective cross-functional relationships (Offices and Retail) providing guidance and support in all Health and Safety related matters.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Minimum professional qualification to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) specialist at Senior Level or equivalent.Analytical and reporting skills.Demonstrate natural curiosity to draw out views and opinions.Ability to build and influence effective partnerships at all levels.Presentation skills, ideally with a recognised training or teaching qualification.Understanding of the off-price model.Ability and flexibility to travel as required.Resilience and self-driven to deliver results.Please submit your CV in English.
