ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As a Senior Manager Solution Engineering, you will bring deep expertise in airport opera-tions, solution design, and cross-functional leadership, while playing a critical role in driving transformation and innovation within SITAs Airport Business Unit. Successfully supporting the Europe portfolio of customers and contributing to the units broader strategic vision re-quires the ability to communicate clearly across diverse stakeholders and leverage consulta-tive selling to uncover and shape high-impact customer solutions. You will lead a large, geo-graphically distributed team of Solution Engineers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture focused on customer success and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Act as the prime interface to customers managing both technical and commercial matters from initial contact to solution deployment
- Establish and maintain strong, professional relationship with customers
- Understand customer business needs and design tailored solutions that meet specific requirements
- Collaborate closely with Account Managers and Directors to develop and execute sales and account strategies
- Promote SITAs solutions by furnishing customers with comprehensive up-to-date product information and enhancements during customer meetings and workshops
- Design and co-ordinate the development of business solutions which may involve multiple parties both internally and externally
- Support technical qualification of customer requirements through deep knowledge of technologies and solution portfolios
- Partner with internal teams (Pricing, Customer Service, Project Management) to develop compelling, commercially sound business proposals
- Own the technical and commercial parts of proposals submitted to customers and collaborate closely with project managers to ensure efficient projects implementation
- Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing team of Solution Engineers, providing clear performance expectations, conducting regular reviews, supporting career growth, and fostering a positive, inclusive culture
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
10+ years of experience in solution engineering, pre-sales, or technical consulting, with a strong track record of delivering complex, high-value solutions across multiple regionsStrong domain expertise in airport operations such as passenger processing systems, baggage handling solutions with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and enhancing the passenger experience at airports.Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldComfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments to deliver integrated and scalable business solutionsComfortable presenting to C-level executives and managing high-stakes proposals, negotiations, and escalations with confidence and clarityProven ability to lead and scale high-performing solution engineering teams, including performance management, coaching and development planningAbility to collaborate across cross-functional teams to design and implement customer-focused strategiesDemonstrated success in consultative selling, combining deep customer insights with technical acumen to identify and capitalize on new business opportunitiesExcellent communication skills, ensuring clarity and alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholdersEmotionally intelligent leader fostering open dialogue, inclusive, high-performing team environmentsHighly organized, with strong project oversight and multitasking abilitiesable to prioritize competing demands and lead teams in fast-paced, operationally critical environmentsWHAT WE OFFER
