The role of Major Account Casualty UW is based in Madrid and reports to the Major Account Casualty Team Leader. In this role, you will be responsible for setting, implementing, and achieving underwriting profit goals following Chubb's business plan for the Major Account Segment.
At Chubb, we ensure underwriting integrity through appropriate deployment of guidelines and controls, ensuring consistency in risk selection, pricing, and capacity use, while recognizing market conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new business and renewals according to guidelines, specified budget, and local business plan.
- Collaborate with the Segment Leader & Underwriting Manager to define and build underwriting strategy and forecasts.
- Maintain quality control within your responsibility by conducting quantitative reviews to develop top-performing segments.
- Plan broker visits to reinforce Chubb's brand and support market growth.
- Manage portfolio and pipeline effectively.
- Maximize cross-selling opportunities, especially with Property and Environmental lines.
- Ensure compliance with policies, controls, authorities, and reporting standards.
- Meet service standards regarding policy documentation, quoting timelines, and compliance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Economics, or similar; Master’s degree is a plus.Native or bilingual Spanish; proficiency in English.At least 5 years of experience in Casualty underwriting, with knowledge of industry procedures.Experience in a multinational environment and knowledge of the Spanish insurance market.Client-focused, commercially driven, and experienced in broker and client dealings.Results-oriented with decision-making capabilities within underwriting guidelines.Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.Aligned with Chubb’s values : Respect, Excellence, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity.What We Offer
