We are seeking a proactive Key Account Manager to join our Environmental Sales Team for the EMEA region. This role is essential in ensuring efficient sales processes, effective customer communication, and exceptional support throughout the sales cycle.

Campbell Scientific, a world leader in environmental instrumentation is involved in wide ranging applications which include those focused on the Environmental Research, and Hydrometeorology sectors. This is an exciting role with unlimited potential in helping Campbell Scientific achieve its ambitious growth targets and presence within EMEA. As an integral part of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our portfolio of environmental clients. This trusted advisor role combines scientific expertise, business acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to foster strong client relationships and drive the growth of our environmental research division.

The expectations of the Environmental Key Account Manager role include the following duties :

  • Client Management : Build and maintain strong relationships with existing environmental research clients across Spain. Understand their unique needs, goals, and challenges related to environmental research and hydrometeorology initiatives. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their satisfaction, addressing concerns, and delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Business Development : Identify new opportunities and prospective clients within the environmental research and hydrometeorology sectors. Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the client base and increase revenue. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create effective business development strategies.
  • Environmental Expertise : Already regarded by peers as a knowledge expert, there is a requirement to stay up to date with the latest trends, developments, and regulations in environmental research and sustainability. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of environmental issues and their implications for clients. Offer insightful advice and solutions based on scientific understanding within the areas of micrometeorology, hydrometeorology, and environmental research.
  • Performance Analysis : Track and analyse key performance metrics for client accounts, assessing opportunity success and identifying areas for improvement. Provide regular reports on technical and manufacturing information to the Production team, where necessary for the completion of orders, including non-standard products and services.
  • Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including research scientists, data analysts, and technical experts.
  • Market Research : Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, potential competitors, and new market / product opportunities within the environmental research and hydrometeorology sectors. Use findings to inform business strategies and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Travel : Undertake travel away on Company business when required, including overnight trips in across Europe and overseas (up to 25%).
