Growth Capital seeks a seasoned professional to lead our Spanish team in the European Tech industry.
We are looking for an experienced Director with a proven track record in Investment Banking and / or M&A, who has some exposure to the Venture Capital industry.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will manage all stages of the process, developing relationships with current and prospective clients, including origination, structuring and execution of complex transactions. They will also take a crucial role in deal origination and networking, initially in the Spanish market.
- Leverage your personal network to create and manage a pipeline of potential clients and investors :
- Originate / source the best tech startups / scaleups.
- Identify and meet investors who are active in the market.
- Build, develop, and maintain long-term relationships with corporates, investors, VCs, PEs, and advisors in the European VC ecosystem.
- Project Leader responsibilities for the end-to-end fundraising process in our M&A, Fundraising, and Advisory mandates :
- Achieving the successful closing of the deal.
- Coordinating various stakeholders involved and facilitating the work of startups and investors.
- Ensuring smooth, effective interaction aimed at achieving the best possible deal conditions.
- Drive negotiation of terms, legal documentation, and closing processes.
- Stay up to date on developments in the European ecosystem (changes in regulation, best practices, evolution of the competition, closed transactions, most active investors).
Requirements
The position requires :
At least 12-15 years of full-time experience in Investment Banking and / or M&A with some exposure to the Venture Capital industry.Strong knowledge of M&A activity and ability to apply skills creatively to diverse client needs in innovative companies.Thorough knowledge of VC investment and M&A terms and processes.Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, particularly in financial modelling and valuation techniques used to analyze scaleups and tech companies.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Leadership and client management / networking skills.High standards of professional and ethical conduct.Ability to work under tight deadlines, excellent time management and prioritization.Proactive, dynamic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.Hands-on approach, and eagerness to contribute to our growth.Non-hierarchical thinking, low ego.Strong familiarity in the use of the Office package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Significant study or work experience abroad, at least a six month working.Outstanding educational track record;Italian or French is a plus.About Us
