About this role

As a seasoned professional in the field of mobile engineering, we are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Senior Mobile Engineer.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative and user-friendly mobile applications that transform the boating experience. As part of our close-knit team, you will have the freedom to take ownership of features and drive them forward with autonomy.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in computer science, with expertise in React Native and native components. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to craft complex mobile interfaces that deliver seamless user experiences.

We are looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can manage uncertainty, and define clear requirements through iterative development. Key responsibilities

Design and build complex mobile interfaces using React Native and native components where needed.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring powerful navigation features to life.
Optimize performance across a wide range of devices and screen sizes.
Contribute to the overall app architecture and help define best practices in frontend development.
Clearly communicate ideas and decisions, bringing teammates along in thinking.
Proactively identify requirements, risks, and potential pitfalls in feature design.
Take full ownership of features, from idea to production, with lots of freedom to innovate.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need :

7+ years of mobile development experience, including at least 5 years building production React Native apps.

Strong CS fundamentals.

Deep understanding of TypeScript, React, and modern front-end patterns.

Solid experience building and maintaining native modules in Java and Objective-C, including Turbo and / or Nitro Modules.

Experience integrating complex APIs and working closely with the backend team.

A sharp eye for detail and passion for pixel-perfect UI.

Strong focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Bonus : experience working with C++ native modules, offline-first UX, or mapping SDKs like Mapbox.

Proven ability to build high-quality solutions independently.

Exceptional ability to manage uncertainty, define clear requirements, and drive toward clarity through fast iterations, learning, and sharp problem framing.

Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
