For more than 30 years, ICArt has specialized in developing bespoke art experiences—from concept to installation—for corporate and private clients. We are seeking an experienced Architectural / Technical Project Manager to join our dynamic and passionate team in our office in Madrid.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Director of Projects, Senior Technical Manager, and Senior Project Manager to create and adhere to project timelines / milestones.
  • Overall responsible for securing and validating briefs and drawings from clients.
  • Create drawings and elevations according to our art specifications.
  • Provide technical support / review for approval and feasibility of art proposals.
  • Manage large and complex installations through all stages from proposal to execution.
  • Initiate and lead communication relating to technical solutions with clients, shipyards, designers, and artists, especially those unfamiliar with parameters of a marine environment.
  • Coordinate the sample process between fabricator and client.
  • Extensive travel required to shipyards in Europe for meetings / site inspections and installations, in addition to quality control surveys at production facilities.
  • Prepare spec files and manuals for art installation and maintenance.
  • Coordinate all contract worker documents and aloft permits / SIPSI paperwork.
  • Proactively identify and resolve art installation issues.
  • Flexibility to work across different time zones and accommodate working hours as necessary.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years working in design and architecture.
  • Experience with technical requirements in a marine environment required; shipbuilding is a plus.
  • Understanding of building materials including steel, aluminum, and composites is a plus.
  • Expertise in programs such as Sketchup, Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, and Monday.

  • Analytical and innovative marine solution oriented.
  • Excellent English and Spanish verbal and written communication skills.
