For the role of Specialist GPON Technology Engineer we are looking for candidates with a broad range of skills. The responsibilities include :

• Engineering and lifecycle management of the network elements as well as themanagement of the suppliers in the GPON / FFTx Fixed Access domain.
• Develop the fiber access connectivity for all market segments in GPON &FTTx design and process requirements and evaluations of supplier tenders,whereby the projects are located in European Vodafone national companies.
• Participate in the choice and control of suppliers and take over the technicalcontract conditions.
• Creation of planning, implementation, and installation specifications as well asthe product-related configuration for connectivity.
• Create interference suppression and optimization rules for connectivity andcontrol the system acceptance and introduction and carry them outsuccessfully.
• Lifecycle management of fixed access xPON / FTTx platforms (OLT, L2 ONT,EMS and SDN).
• Define the rules for capacity management of fixed access xPON / FTTHplatforms to guarantee the best performance to customers.
• Coordination of implementation for new projects impacted xPON / FTTHxplatforms.
• Implementation of new services for Consumer, Enterprise (i.e. new speeds orfixed services over XGS-PON) and Mobile Backhauling over xPON / FTTxtechnology.
• Support testing activities for new SW upgrades, bug fixing, security patches,etc.
• High- and Low-Level Design (HLD & LLD) for new services and / or platforms.
• Implementation of security policies defined in Vodafone to hardening all fixedaccess xPON / FTTx platforms.
• Automation of network activities in fixed access xPON / FTTx platforms by useof scripting or RPA technics.
