Now, we are looking for a Junior Project Engineer in our office in Barcelona, Spain. The project engineer defines technical solutions and organizes technical alignment on a variety of equipment, facilities, utilities, components, products, and systems for a diverse client base of manufacturers. He / she maintains and oversees part of / the complete project process; prepares status reports and delivers the documentation on schedule.

What is the role About? As an employee of IPS, you will actively participate in a wide range of project work, ranging from small improvements to large industrial constructions. You will be working in an industrial environment project with scope in process engineering; equipment, mechanics, instrumentation, automation, etc. The management of each project can include multiple phases and / or specialization :

  • Strategic Consulting : project master planning, conceptual engineering.
  • Project feasibility : process description, plant layout, overall time schedule, procurement strategy, financial plan.
  • Project preparation phase : investment analysis, basic engineering, permitting, financing, and procurement.
  • Project realization phase : project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.

The role of the JR Project Engineer is to join the project team to deliver to the client the more than satisfactory quality of the services within the budget and planning defined.

Requirements : Who are you?

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering with specialization in one of the following qualifications : Chemicals or Bio-Chemicals, Industrial Organization, Mechanics (and / or similar).
  • 2 to 4 years of total experience.
  • Experience in Project Management either in client or consulting company.
  • Notions in civil works, building utilities, and / or process utilities.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English, plus French or German.
  • Project Management certification is an asset.
  • Driver License B (Legal requirements).
  • Valuable experience in mid-sized projects (>

    • 1M€).

  • Experienced in project documentation and control, cost control, scheduling, construction supervision.
  • Feeling comfortable taking tasks that require various skills and prioritizing task completion.
  • Experience on complete life cycle of projects such as master planning, feasibility, permitting, civil works, main infrastructure needs, contracting, and construction management and supervision.
  • Valuable experience in the Food & Beverages sector.
