Job Description :
In Ferrovial we are always looking for high-skilled professionals. At this stage we are looking for a Senior Enterprise Architect with specialization and strong experience in SAP 4 / HANA and Azure Cloud ecosystems as we are involved in an ambitious journey to cloud program that will lead our finance and construction business processes to the next level .
The role :
The Senior Enterprise Architect is responsible for creating a unified architecture vision that supports the organization's business objectives. This includes developing a strategy for the architecture and creating or validating the architecture models and diagrams proposed by different partners, system integrators and IT providers. This role must also be able to effectively collaborate with other IT departments and to effectively communicate their ideas to the program stakeholders.
The Senior Enterprise Architect Manager must have proven experience in SAP 4 / HANA ecosystems deployed on cloud environments and connected to on premise applications , as our journey to cloud program will be implemented in several phases, and different systems will be moved at different moments from a single on premise CPD to Azure cloud.
Main responsibilities :
Understand the high-level architecture strategy for the whole journey to cloud program.
Be fully aligned with the Journey to Cloud Program Manager during the program execution.Lead a group of internal IT specialists and work together with them to define the technical workstreams.Provide strategic influence across IT areas and business stakeholders to make the right decisions.Align your technical vision and approach with best practices from the industry (SAP, Microsoft).Demonstrate leadership ability to back decisions with research and the “why,” and articulate several options, the pros and cons for each, and a recommendation.Share your take-aways with others, communicating fluently to facilitate the comprehension of technical decisions.Identify technical risks, challenges and dependencies and propose mitigation plans if necessary.Architecture Delivery :Coordinate and lead several technical workstreams to grant its execution on time and budget .
Participate in technical discussions with different partners and providers to challenge their proposals.Provide guidance to support specific business needs, aligned and coordinated with other IT areas.Propose flexible, open, interoperable and decoupled solutions.Facilitate SAP 4 / HANA data exchange with other apps and systems via APIs or Azure connectors .Create a common data analytics architecture to exploit data from SAP 4 / HANA on Azure.Support the migration of historical data and databases on prem to the cloud.Support the migration of reporting systems to the cloud (Oracle BI, Qlick View, Qlick Sense).Support the reengineering of some components and modules to improve their performance .Strengthen architectures by applying security standards in coordination with the security team.Design common patterns to monitor architecture performance , availability and scalability .Quality Supervision :Supervise third-party development teams and identify risks associated to their architecture design.
Provide technical expertise and support in the diagnosis and resolution of issues .Validate third-party technical proposals approving or rejecting them as needed.Ensure that agreed standards and working practices are followed .Ensure that development teams reuse certified components and existing reference architectures .Provide expert guidance to delivery teams for complex challenges or business-critical systems.Cloud Architecture Centre of Excellence :Work collaboratively with the Architecture, Technology and Security Teams in the creation of common artifacts , templates and guidelines that will accelerate the evolution of cloud platforms.
Innovation :Lead proofs of concept with external partners to test new solutions or components, when needed.
Keep up to date with new trends, technologies, features and patterns.Requirements :
University degree : Higher Engineering (Computer Science, Telecommunications or similar)At least 5-years’ experience in Solution or Enterprise Architecture is a must.At least 2-years’ experience working in SAP ecosystems is a must . SAP 4 / HANA highly desirable (RISE).At least 1 related Cloud Certification in Azure is desirable, especially Azure Solutions Architect Certification .A proven track record of working as an Enterprise Architect delivering successful journey to cloud programs.Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams, in large companies.Broad experience integrating different applications in hybrid and cloud-based scenarios with SAP .Broad experience migrating data bases and historical data from on prem to cloud services.Broad experience designing analytics architectures by using SAP as data source, combined with others.Experience in designing de-coupled architectures , combining different modules and cloud services.Demonstrated ability to evaluate scalable and cost-effective solutions .Ability to lead different technical workstreams at the same time and keep the vision.Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on translating business requirements into technology solutions and deliver them on time .Essential very high level of English.Why Ferrovial?
