Are you passionate about scalable backend architectures, working in cross-functional teams, and contributing to a high-impact digital platform? We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help scale and enhance a fast-growing platform in the digital health & well-being sector.

With significant funding and rapid international expansion, we are developing new solutions that improve accessibility, performance, and user experience. This is a 100% remote opportunity with a focus on collaborative, product-driven development.

What You’ll Do :

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services that support a high-traffic digital platform.
• Work in a trio model (Engineering, Product, Design) to align technical execution with user and business needs.
• Build and optimize APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures to improve platform scalability and performance.
• Leverage AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines to deploy and maintain cloud-native applications.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and system reliability in a rapidly growing product ecosystem.
• Take part in technical decision-making, best practices, and mentorship to foster a strong engineering culture.
• 5+ years of experience in backend development.
• Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and REST API development (experience with PHP, Java, or Python is a plus).
• Experience working with AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, etc.).
• Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB).
• Hands-on experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, and scalable system design.
• Solid knowledge of CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment automation.
• A product-focused mindset, ensuring backend solutions enhance user experience and business value.
• Strong collaboration skills, working closely with product managers and designers to deliver meaningful features.
