We are seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to join a leading industrial company located in the Barcelona (Zona franca). The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate preparation of taxes, optimize customs duties, reduce freight forwarder costs, and manage tax flows to achieve cost savings. This role requires a proactive professional with expertise in tax compliance, customs optimization, and financial systems such as SAP or Business Central. Proficiency in English and own vehicle are mandatory.
Key Responsibilities :
- Take full responsibility for all company tax obligations, including VAT, Corporate Income Tax, and IRPF reporting.
- Collect and organize all necessary information for IRPF declarations.
- Prepare and file the Corporate Income Tax (Impost de Societats) in compliance with legal requirements.
- Monitor compliance with tax regulations to minimize risks and ensure accurate reporting.
- Act as the main contact with tax authorities for VAT claims and administrative requests.
- Submit applications and respond to inquiries from the Tax Administration.
- Handle correspondence and follow-ups with government entities to resolve tax-related issues.
- Analyze and optimize customs duties and freight forwarder costs for the company’s operations.
- Design and implement cost-effective customs and logistics flows to achieve savings.
- Liaise with customs authorities and freight forwarders to ensure efficient processes.
- Use and maintain financial systems like SAP and Business Central to track and report tax and customs-related data.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure proper integration of tax and customs activities within the overall financial strategy.
- Provide expert advice to management on tax planning, customs processes, and regulatory changes.
- Propose strategies to optimize tax and customs processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and logistics.
- Communicate effectively with external stakeholders such as customs agents, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
Job Requirements :
Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.Specialized courses in Taxes and Customs are required.Experience in a similar role within a large industrial company or freight forwarding firm.Skills :
Mandatory proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and organizational abilities.
