THE OPPORTUNITY : Senior Network Engineer (BGP, Data Center Networking)

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our Global Network Managed Services team.

In this 100% remote role based in Madrid, you will be responsible for assuring reliable, responsive, and secure operational excellence of our global network and data center infrastructure. This involves leading new installations, troubleshooting incidents, and driving continuous improvements in a complex, mission-critical environment.

You will be joining a highly collaborative global team that works closely with Network Tools, Architecture, and Operations to seamlessly integrate new technologies and maintain adherence to global standards.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will :

• Configure Install, and Maintain Customer-Facing Infrastructure : Deploy, rack, stack, support, and maintain network hardware and software, including routers, firewalls, and switches, across our internal and customer-facing data centers.
• Collaborate on Incident and Problem Management : Engage with global customers and Network Operations teams to identify, analyze, and resolve complex faults, ranging from major network outages to customer escalations.
• Ensure Compliance and Operational Excellence : Implement and adhere to rigorous processes for network monitoring, security, change control, incident management, and maintain comprehensive documentation of all configurations and procedures.
