Summary

Working within the FS (Field Service) Backup Office, reporting to the Field Service Team Leader and under Field Service Lead Engineer supervision, you will be assigned the following roles :

  • FSA (Field Service Assessment) Technical Advisor : To perform assessment of turbine (both gas and steam) and generators.
  • FS Engineer : He will be assigned as Field Service Person In charge for some projects, produce QMS documentation as required, review outage reports, etc.

Job responsibilities include :

On-site tasks / duties :

  • To attend the outages and work as FSA TA on the field, to check parts condition, describe NCRs, perform NDT’s when needed, etc.
  • To be on field around 3-6 months as required depending on FS demand.
  • The possibility to add a second role in the near / middle future.
  • Office-based tasks / duties :

  • Under Field Service Backup Office Team Leader and Field Service Lead Engineer supervision, to develop Field Service Quality Management System, in terms of planning, execution and reporting.
  • Be assigned as Field Service Person In charge for some projects, producing QMS documentation as required, review outage reports, and work together with PM (Programme Manager) to coordinate outage deliverables.
  • Be a link between Field Service and Repair Engineering department and Customer Support Engineering department.
  • Assess the required equipment within the turbine parts (both gas and steam turbines) specified on the provided (by PM team) work scope.
  • Supervision and management of Non-Destructive Tests performed by subcontractors during outages. To be able to perform the NDTs if needed.
  • To review Mechanical work scope and recommendations to plan required FSA Inspections accordingly.
  • To generate the FSA schedule in MS Excel and MS Project if needed.
  • To plan resources needed.
  • To generate a layout plan for parts to be inspected when needed.
  • Interpret drawings, field service procedures and technical documents to explain in detail the findings and proposed actions.
  • The person :

  • A Graduate in engineering discipline is preferable but not required.
  • Previous related experience and / or training in gas turbine maintenance activities is preferable but not required.
  • Non-Destructive Test diplomas and / or knowledge are preferable but not required.
  • Computer knowledge and mastery of common software packages for office work, i.e., MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Experience working for a Japanese company is preferable but not required.
  • Language :

  • Spanish : native.
  • English : fluent.
  • Japanese : preferable but not required.
