European Power Markets Analyst

The European Power Markets Analyst will be responsible for analyzing various European Power markets and supporting the head of the department in defining strategies related to project offtake.

Responsibilities include :

• Supporting the Head of Power Markets in evaluating different offtake strategies (PPAs, RtM, GoO, Energy auctions, ancillary services markets, etc.).
• Analyzing production / demand solutions in PPAs.
• Developing tailored quantitative energy strategies in countries with company projects.
• Assessing new strategies and market requirements to capture value in European ancillary services markets.
• Analyzing energy regulation in relevant countries.
• Communicating and coordinating with other company departments and external consultants and legal advisors.
• Maintaining updated data and preparing periodic reports on energy markets.
• Building and developing tools to monitor energy market activity and power / commodity markets, including risk procedures and tools for value at risk exposure and mitigation.
• Developing quantitative models and pricing tools to support commercial activities, energy risk management, and financial valuation.
