Junior–Mid Level Observability Splunk Engineer

Location : 100% Remote from Spain or Portugal

Contract Type : Permanent - Full-time Position

Salary : €47,300 (Junior, 2+ years) – €56,300 (Mid-Level, 3+ years)

About the Role

Join a team dedicated to advancing observability within the organization by building, maintaining, and supporting observability tools with a focus on Splunk and ITSI. As a Junior–Mid Level Observability Engineer, you’ll contribute to chain monitoring solutions and help internal teams make better use of observability capabilities.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of hands-on Splunk experience (including admin tasks).
  • Experience with i nfrastructure monitoring and cloud platforms (AWS and / or Azure).
  • Strong knowledge of Python (must-have), with some familiarity in JavaScript and Java (nice to have).
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
  • Comfortable coaching users and teams in observability best practices.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical topics to a non-technical audience.
  • Curiosity, critical thinking, and an eagerness to explore new technologies.

Certifications (Required)

  • Splunk Core Certified Power User or Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User

    • Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and support observability tools such as Splunk and ITSI.
  • Implement dashboards and ensure data quality across observability systems.
  • Collaborate with internal users to understand monitoring requirements and translate them into effective visualizations.
  • Support observability integrations with existing cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Provide coaching and training to internal users and junior team members.
  • Participate in discussions around new observability features, tools, and monitoring strategy.
  • Act as a backup and collaborator for your team members.
