About the Team

Finance Team, Germany

Responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining audited financial statements, managing cash (A / P, A / R), reporting monthly to the Group, supporting local business functions, and helping drive business growth.

About the Role

Role Purpose / Objective

The Accountant assists the Controller in the smooth running of the department, completing tasks efficiently and on time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts email inbox daily.
  • Process purchase invoices for the German offices.
  • Handle supplier queries promptly.
  • Manage daily banking through online systems for all currency accounts.
  • Reconcile supplier statements monthly.
  • Process staff expense claims, check receipts.
  • Prepare supplier and staff payments for approval.
  • Review credit card expenses, ensure receipts are legible, and process payments.
  • Complete month-end reporting tasks timely.
  • Assist with cash forecasting.
  • Provide team coverage during absences.
  • Assist with system and process improvements.
  • Report issues promptly.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as needed.
  • Ensure consistency between accounting and invoicing systems.
  • Manage annual tax returns and other tax filings.
  • Prepare data for payroll processing KPIs.
  • Ensure audited financial statements are prepared with no reserves.
  • Maintain consistency between accounting and invoicing systems.
  • Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in a similar international accounting role.
  • Knowledge of accounting software (e.g., DATEV).
  • Experience with intercompany reporting (BFC a plus).
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and Axapta is beneficial.
