Role Overview : In this role, you will play a key part in delivering exceptional service and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Engineering Department, collaborating with all other departments.
Main Duties
- Operational Responsibilities :
- Support hotel success and guest satisfaction through close collaboration with colleagues.
- Build strong relationships with other departments to achieve shared goals.
- Complete scheduled maintenance tasks and requests with quality workmanship, especially guest-related jobs.
- Operate machinery and equipment to ensure continuous utility supply.
- Manage fuel deliveries according to policies.
- Inspect, maintain, and service Air Handling Units (AHUs).
- Address guest air conditioning requests promptly.
- Log data regularly as required by the department.
- Follow safety regulations and local codes.
- Properly handle and maintain power tools and equipment.
- Order parts and consumables as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and safe.
- Implement energy-saving measures.
- Ensure fire, life, and safety systems are operational.
- Respond to emergency procedures, including fire alarms and lift rescues.
- Complete work orders and preventive maintenance timely.
- Report safety equipment issues.
- Assist colleagues as needed.
- Customer Service Responsibilities :
- Provide courteous, professional service at all times.
- Handle inquiries efficiently and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain positive interactions with guests and colleagues.
- Uphold the company's core values.
- Other Responsibilities :
- Attend training sessions and meetings.
- Represent the hotel positively.
- Build relationships with industry peers and partners.
- Adhere to hotel policies, especially regarding safety and hygiene.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Be adaptable and take on additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications : Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, electrical are advantageous.
Experience : 1-2 years in a similar role, preferably in hospitality, with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Skills : Knowledge of safety regulations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and basic computer skills.
Attributes : Detail-oriented, proactive, team player, good communication, customer service focus.
Physical Requirements : Ability to lift, stand, operate machinery, and work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
