Experienced Data or Software Engineer

You are convinced AI and IoT are having a big impact on society and you want to be part of that shift. We are currently looking for remote senior (data) engineers in Madrid, Malaga and Valencia to expand across Europe. The role involves regular travels (~30%) to our homebase in Belgium, and clients in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

Experienced software engineers with an emerging passion for data welcome! At least 5 years of experience is a must.

Responsibilities

Architect, develop and deploy a wide range of data applications, in the cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

Design complex analytics solutions with large data sets on distributed systems

Set and direct the technology vision of an entire data product or service

Make technical teams successful

Develop a sense of purpose for a full client engagement

Provide thought leadership for clients and partners to help them understand the data analytics landscape

Debug organisations and processes

Required qualifications

Over 5 years of experience in software development, solution engineering, technical consulting; with expertise in architecting and rolling out new technology and solutions

Excellent coding skills (Python, Spark, Java, Golang, etc.)

Good understanding of cloud possibilities and limitations in the areas of distributed systems, massive data storage, and security

Experience with big data technologies is a plus

Proven innovative thinker who is sough out by co-workers for inspiration

Proven experience with leading and coaching technical teams

Has developed future-proof architectures without exactly knowing that the future is

Highly proficient in spoken and written English
