The Site Manager will oversee the execution of an LED replacement project at various automotive plants as part of an energy services contract. This role ensures the successful delivery of energy efficiency projects while meeting timelines, budgets, technical standards, and safety requirements. The Site Manager will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Responsibilities :

  • Project Management : Oversee energy efficiency and energy services projects exceeding $2M during the construction phase.
  • Leadership on Site : Serve as the primary Site Manager, ensuring effective execution on-site.
  • Stakeholder Coordination : Liaise with customers and contractors to monitor construction quality, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, QA / QC standards, codes, and contract requirements.
  • Payment Oversight : Manage pay application approvals in line with contractual terms, including reviewing and recommending change orders.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance : Ensure all personnel and subcontractors meet technical and safety training requirements, adhering to federal, state, and local laws as well as organizational policies.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Reporting : Provide daily updates and generate weekly and monthly reports for internal and external stakeholders, including KPI reporting.

Requirements Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial and / or construction projects within the electrical or mechanical field.
  • Skills

  • Proven ability to manage and coordinate multisite projects effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and contract implementation.
  • Flexibility to travel 25%–50% domestically, primarily within the Detroit area.
  • Ability to work in industrial (automotive) settings.
  • Commitment to maintaining safe operations and serving as a role model for safety standards.
  • Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Availability for an eight-month temporary project
  • Specific Knowledge

  • Languages : Fluency in English.
  • Software : Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project). Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
