Postdoctoral Fellow in Genomics and Evolution

IRB Barcelona is seeking two experimental Postdoctoral Researchers in pathogenic yeast genomics and evolution to join the Comparative Genomics group, led by ICREA professor Toni Gabaldón. The selected candidates will work on understanding adaptation in emerging fungal pathogens through comparative genomics and phylogenomics. The positions are funded by the “LactAs” project.

Eligibility / Qualification : PhD in a relevant field, experience in microbiology and genomics , skills in microbial and molecular biology.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plan, perform, and interpret experiments within the project framework.
  • Conduct experiments, analyze results, contribute to lab projects, and maintain protocols and laboratory resources.
  • Critically analyze analytical results, participate in scientific discussions, and prepare scientific communications.
