Senior Satellite Communication Systems Architect

Are you passionate about developing new solutions within the Space industry?

We are looking for a Senior Satellite Communication Systems Architect. You will be the main reference in the design of a new LEO satellite communications constellation.

• 10+ years in Satellite Network Design and Implementation
• Experience in sizing of telecommunication channels of the network
• Expertise on network protocols. Understanding of satellite communication protocols (DVB-S2, DVB-RCS, TDMA, SCPC, …).
• Understanding of link-budget and related trade-offs.
• Expertise in bandwidth and power allocation, traffic management and QoS, and network simulation / emulation.
• Familiar with satellite ground station equipment (modems, antennas, RF systems)
• Understanding of applicable security standards and implications in the architecture
• Knowledge of applicable regulatory (FCC, ITU)
• Experience with engineering methodology
• Required Qualifications : Master’s degree in Telecommunication
• Experience managing technical teams and interfacing different stakeholders
• Experience operating with mission-critical systems and with high levels of security
• Eligibility for security clearance of EU systems

Our projects are agile and innovative and require a combination of solid technical knowledge and skills, personal initiative and teamwork. A relevant university degree is required, MS or higher strongly advised. Also, you must have experience in and be able to :

Positions are permanent and full-time. Be ready to enjoy working in Barcelona, but also to travel from time to time to meet other people : our customers are from different countries, most of them in Europe; if you have a different proposition about your location let us know from the beginning and will decide together if feasible.

Our working “common ground” language is English, but feel free to bring your own language; working use of any of the local languages in Barcelona will be appreciated.
