Role Purpose

The accounting manager position for Spain is responsible for the all accounting operations of the Group in Spain as well as taxation and reporting.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including month end and year end process, accounts payable, general ledger, fixed assets, treasury and cash management
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and producing financial reports or statements
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Review fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Liaise with different departments to ensure proper approval for invoices
  • Responsible for all intercompany reconciliations
  • Managing a team of 3 accountants covering different entities

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge / Abilities :

  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Accounting, finance and tax Knowledge
  • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and Spanish accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with good interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to details and reconciliation ability, specially with intercompany balances
  • Respect strict Deadlines and good in Time Management
  • Analytical skills
  • Proactivity, orientation to result
  • Full designated area responsibility
  • Good learning capabilities

    • Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance or Accounting required

    • Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Good knowledge of excel experience with any ERP (Oracle-Netsuite, etc)
