TCS Trans, part of Van den Bosch since its acquisition in October 2021, is the market leader in intermodal bulk logistics in Spain. Its core business is the transport of dry and liquid bulk products for the chemical and food sectors. From its office in Barcelona, it serves the Spanish market through trucking activities. We are looking for an operations manager for TCS Trans in Barcelona. As operations manager, you will provide leadership and direction for all positions carried out from the Barcelona office such as truck planning, HR, and the maintenance workshop. You will be responsible for all on-site activities based on clear KPIs.

Activities from the Barcelona office focus on local trucking activities for the optimisation of our customers' supply chains. These activities stem from the vision to operate close to customers and employees. In this position, an important focus is on realising Van den Bosch's operational excellence vision, where optimisation of processes and systems is key. Besides a group of experienced and professional in-house drivers, the company works together with subcontractors, which act as partners of the operation. Planners and customer service employees in the office are managed by a team leader Planning & Operations. The fleet manager, who manages the workshop, also reports to the operations manager. You report to the general manager of TCS Trans. You optimise the cooperation with the head office in the Netherlands, whereby you have a connecting role and know exactly how to enthuse both your team and the organisation.

Your profile :

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience in an international environment, preferably in bulk logistics
  • You are an inspiring, people-oriented and energetic leader with a great sense of responsibility
  • Strong commercial skills : you act on opportunities in the market and know how to assess their commercial value
  • Good knowledge of English; Spanish and Dutch are both a plus
  • You are decisive, energetic and have strong analytical skills
