POSITION SUMMARY

The Executive Director of ULI Spain will lead the organization’s efforts in Spain, working closely with industry leaders to promote best practices in land use and urban development. The Executive Director will be responsible for strategic planning, member engagement, program development, and overall management of ULI Spain’s operations. This role requires a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of the real estate sector, strong leadership skills, and the ability to drive growth and influence within the industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Leadership and Strategy : In collaboration with ULI Spain Chair : Develop current ULI Spain strategy plan to advance ULI Spain’s mission and objectives Collaborate with ULI Europe and other national councils to align local activities with Europe main program and mission priorities.Deliver ULI Spain program already in place for the time regarding this position.Manage stakeholders.Lead all activities of ULI Spain : Executive Committee, Product Councils meetings.
  • Member Engagement : Foster ULI Spain strong member community by engaging with existing members and continue recruiting new members.Follow up on ULI Spain prospects planEnsure members receive value from their participation through high-quality activities and events, networking opportunities, and access to ULI resources.Keep develop and maintaining ULI Spain relationships with key industry stakeholders, including public officials, private sector leaders, and academic institutions.
  • Program Development and Management : Planning and execution of a robust schedule of events, conferences, workshops, and educational programs on ULI Spain general program with Local ChairCoordination of ULI Europe support team (communications, social media, website)Identify and develop opportunities for research, publications, and thought leadership that align with ULI’s mission.
  • SponsorshipImplement fundraising strategies to secure sponsorships for events. Follow and maintain annual budget FY25, ensuring financial sustainability and growth.
  • Marketing and Communications : Implement marketing and communication strategies to raise ULI Spain’s profile with local agency, local Chair and ULI Europe team.Represent ULI Spain in media engagements, public speaking opportunities, and industry events.Ensure effective communication of ULI Spain’s activities and achievements to members and the broader community.
  • Team Management : Lead and manage the ULI Spain providing direction, support, and professional development opportunities.Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that promotes excellence and innovation.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, urban planning, business administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the real estate or land use industry, with a strong track record of leadership and management.
  • Deep understanding of the real estate market in Spain and a broad network of industry contacts.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, program development, and financial management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
