We’re establishing three Legal Powerhouses in Bangalore, Mexico City and Barcelona, which will be an integral part of the Legal Function and provide defined, structured services to our other lawyers and to the wider business.
JOB PURPOSE

We are looking for an R&D technologist who will support the R&D TDMO Foods & Ice Creams team in Spain. The R&D TDMO Team represents the R&D Business Partner and First Point of Contact to the MSO – mainly to marketing BU team and Sales departments – for technical related activities. The team is composed of technical experts of products and technology processes with insights of local market and consumer needs. The R&D technologist will work in close collaboration with the European development centers and relevant sourcing units.
The contract will be temporary.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Adapt the European technical specifications to the Spanish version in Unilever's internal program, considering the local legislation.
- Consult the detail of the recipes of each one of the products to be able to determine the legal denomination based on the Spanish legislation.
- Prepare lists of ingredients based on local needs and specific Spanish legislation.
- Ensure the inclusion of logos required by Spanish specific regulation, such as disposal instructions, on the labels that go to the final consumer.
- Manage the review of labels by an external team, review their recommendations, review the label again and assess whether additional changes are required or not, until the final approval of the label.
- The labeling is valid for several countries and therefore, it is necessary to attend weekly meetings with different European countries for alignment.
- Analyze together with other members of the team such as legal and regulatory and the legality of the claims included in the labeling and establish a risk analysis for each of the innovations.
