REWE digital Spain belongs to REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe with around 390,000 employees . In REWE digital overall there are over 2,200 IT specialists who set standards for IT implementation in the retail industry and development of new technologies for the sector.

REWE digital Spain is located in the Technological Park of Andalusia (PTA) in Malaga. As a team of 40 colleagues , we drive innovation for REWE digital in Germany. Your newly founded team in Spain will administer data catalog and API management platforms to create transparency about data and APIs within REWE digital. In this respect your team is the basis for a modern IT infrastructure with decentral data ownership.

Your experienced team in Spain and Germany (Team Indirect Spend) provides innovative solutions for the development of modern procurement applications using SAP Ariba

In this context, we are focussing on providing the basic technical functionality of SAP Ariba, whilst ensuring continious improvement and support, leveraging advanced features such as supplier management, guided buying, advanced analytics and reporting tools and expanding the platform’s use across a variety of indirect spend categories.

We are looking for a Product Owner (PO) – someone who combines the entrepreneurial spirit to find innovative solutions with a team in Spain and Germany and at the same time manages stakeholders in Germany and their requirements.

What you will do

  • You will be responsible for designing and managing the product backlog, driving key initiatives, and ensuring the successful adoption of SAP Ariba and SAP MM.
  • You will lead the strategic direction of the product, develop the product vision, roadmap and manage the product budget,
  • You will foster a culture of innovation and transparency.
  • You will drive and support key initiatives such as scaling SAP Ariba adoption across a variety of indirect spend categories rollout of our Device-as-a-Service model.
  • You will identify and implement improvements in the procurement process of non-trading goods within the SAP Ariba and SAP MM framework to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and managing vendor and partner relationships.
  • You are a trailblazer in AI adoption and courage and curious in others to explore, adapt and use GenAI in their daily business.
  • You write, prioritize and evaluate user stories together with team members, users and stakeholders such as our user experience department or the product owners of the specialist applications.
  • You communicate transparently about the progress of your product development and proactively ensure that customer behavior and the use of the product are measured.

What you will bring :

We are looking for a dynamic and empathetic leader who embraces diversity and is passionate about agile working. You should have a proven track record in SAP procurement technologies (Ariba / MM), excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships

  • You embrace diversity of opinions and approaches and have the ability to draw from a portfolio of different approaches in stakeholder communication and team development.
  • You are empathetic with the business challenges of your users, and you enjoy managing the complex and ambiguous relationship between user centricity, technology standardization and business value.
  • Your successfully completed a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • You have a proven track record (via min 3 years, job experience or project experience and certifications) in generating tangible business impact via the following technologies.
  • SAP Ariba and Materials Management & SAP S / 4 Hana
  • Alternatively : Comparable procurement and ecommerce solutions experience with a strong SAP background
  • You act as a facilitator between the development team in Spain and Germany and our stakeholders in Germany and as an interface between all stakeholders.
  • Fluent English is required, good German skills would be a benefit due to our corporate language, ideally you also speak Spanish.
  • Willingness to be regularly present in the Malaga office.
  • Your availability to travel to Germany from time to time.
